CONTENT DESIGNATOR HISTORY
Indicator 1 - Title added entry [NEW, 1977]
Records created prior to the definition of the first indicator in 1977 may contain #
meaning undefined in this position.
Indicator 2 - Type [NEW, 1998]
When the field was redefined to include non-key title abbreviations in 1998, value
blank was redefined to identify key titles. Value blank in pre 1998 records also
identifies key titles since only key title abbreviations allowed in the field before
that date.
