Specifics pertaining to originator (i.e., author, producer) control of dissemination of the material in hand. Subfield $a contains a specific term denoting that the originator has control over the material.

Other information may be present in the field, e.g., the name of the originator, the names of those authorized to receive the material, and other restrictions. This field may or may not be used in conjunction with field 355 (Security Classification Control).
