This example illustrates a full record example for an index term record in the NLM Classification, identified by code c (Index term only) in 008/06 (Kind of record). Note that field 154 (General Explanatory Index Term) is used with an explanation of the use of the 154 index term in field 753 (Index Term Uncontrolled). Code n for not applicable is contained in 008/07 (Type of number), 008/08 (Classification validity), 008/09 (Standard or optional designation), and 008/12 (Synthesized number indication).
