Braille Book Review

Braille Book Review lists braille books and magazines recently added to the NLS collection and available through a network of cooperating libraries. It also carries news of developments in services to people who are blind, visually impaired, or cannot read regular print material because of an organic physical disability. NLS publishes Braille Book Review bimonthly in braille, large print and HTML and distributes it free of charge to patrons.

When possible, annotations include links to the Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) pages from which the books can be downloaded. You can find more information about how to register for and use BARD in the BARD reference guide. At this time, it is not possible to order hardcopy braille books while using Braille Book Review online. To order books via the Internet, you should check with the regional library that sends you books. Many of the libraries do have ordering options, either online or by e-mail, and many others are planning to develop such services in the near future. Even if they do not offer an electronic ordering option at present, it will be helpful for them to know that you are interested.
