The Collections Conservation Manual for the Collections Care Section is the standard protocol for treatment for the General and Reference Collections at the Library of Congress. Included is the decision tree as well as treatment protocols. The manual is made available to the general library community in the hope that it will have value for others doing similar work. The manual has been developed over time and former section heads and staff, as well as the current staff, have contributed to both the writing and the overall design of the manual.
Respectfully presented,
Carrie Beyer,
Collections Care Section Head
