Search Response Present-status

Issue raised by: ; Mon, 11 Nov 1996 08:49:40 -0500

Synopsis:
What should be the Present-status when no piggyback present was requested (Small-set-upper-bound = 0, Large-set-lower-bound = 1; i.e. don't present records under any circumstances) and Search-status = 'success'?

Response:
3.2.2.1.11 says "Present-status occurs if and only if the value of Search-status is 'success'...". Thus in the example cited, Present- status must be supplied; its value should be 'success' meaning "you asked for no records, and I didn't send any, so therefore consider the disposition of the Present part of the request to be successful".
