MARC 21 Concise Classification: Complex See Also Reference Fields (3XX)

Complex see also references contain explanatory text and classification numbers referred to when a see also relationship exists between classification numbers that cannot be adequately conveyed using simple cross references. In the MARC 21 classification format, only one Complex See Also Reference field is currently defined.

The explanatory text and the classification number referred to that are required when see also relationships exist between classification numbers that cannot be adequately conveyed by one or more simple cross references generated from a 553 tracing field.
