Enumeration and chronology of a basic bibliographic unit in the holdings of the reporting organization. A display may be generated from the contents of field 863 and the related field 853 (Captions and Pattern--Basic Bibliographic Unit) to which it is linked by subfield $8 (Field link and sequence number).
